Estate Planning For Police Officers And Firefighters

Having a properly prepared Will is important for everyone, at any point in your life.

For police officers, firefighters, and other first responders who regularly place themselves into harms way as part of their job to protect their fellow citizens, having an up-to-date Will is even more important.

In 2001 after the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11 resulted in massive loss of life including firefighters, police, and other emergency responders, the Wills For Heros program was created to assist police, fire departments, and other emergency personnel to prepare basic estate planning documents to protect themselves and their families.

In Wisconsin, Wills For Heroes was launched in the fall of 2009, and is sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin along with a number of other organizations and prominent law firms.

The attorneys and staff at Ruffi Law Offices, S.C. are proud to support the brave police officers and firefighters in the Wausau and surrounding area by providing a 50% discount off of their fees for preparing Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and other estate planning services for emergency responders and their families.
